  1. that sounds good try to get more

  2. There are lots to select from:
    http://themes.wordpress.net/

I also like this particular one:
    http://www.pearsonified.com/themes/

Let me know if you need more help on this subject.

  3. Categories are used with Posts. You can assign a Post to a category. For example, if I have a financial blog I might have categories like; stocks, mutual funds and personal finance. Then when I write an article about those subjects I assign it one of these categories. You can see the categories in the WRITE-POST page.

Link Categories are essentially categories for your Blogroll or Favorite Websites. They work with the LINKS tab under MANAGE. You can create a list of your favorite websites and assign them to different link categories.

Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I've been building WordPress websites for my clients for years.

  4. You can find pre-made themes here:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes/Theme_List

You can find basic instructions on making themes here:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Blog_Design_and_Layout#Themes_and_Templates

In all honesty, if you are new to HTML and CSS, and you don't know much about PHP, your ability to edit themes is going to be severely limited.

  6. It appears the official WordPress iPhone app is the only iPhone app that deals with WordPress blogs. So no, there are no iPhone apps (yet) that support WordPress commenting or comment management.

  7. You are using wordpress.com? if they don't have a plugin for adsense then I don't think it's possible unless you pay them a monthly fee. It's better to get your own, go to 0fees.net to get a free subdomain just like wordpress.com and free server space with PHP and MySQL included, then download Wordpress from wordpress.org and install it in your 0fees.net account. This way you can add any plugin and theme you want and even edit the source.

  8. Hey there :) ,
Upload the ones you choose and choose them in the admin panel
In the source link below a detailed tutorial on how to change your word press theme.. check it it's helpful

  9. You do not have to use wordpress. If it does not have the functions you need, for example changing everything, just try working without it. It would not be much easier, but not much harder.

  10. I would go back to the template author and ask them. It depends on which version of Wordpress you are using as well. If all else fails, just write your author and name as part of your post.

  12. Hi, I run the blog over at http://wpbloghost.com, my name is John.

You can do that. Set up the top horizontal menu by simply creating a new page.

To edit your sidebar, you would want to head over to your Appearance area in your WordPress Dashboard's sidebar and then click "Widgets".

From there you can add a "text" widget to your sidebar and enter in whatever html you want.

If you don't know html or any coding, it might be difficult and you might want to hire a company to do it for you.

  13. Just use tthe More Tag where you want the cut:

    <!–more–>

This will split it and create a clickable link for the rest off the article

  14. ftp comes with dreamweaver already just have the site saved in a folder, you will see it on your tool bar to the right or left however you set up your tools. Now it has an arrow which will upload your entire site or you can click the square looking button to view the files you wish to upload.
All you need to do is go to your webhosting account with the company you are using and then click on help then ftp and it will tell you the server ftp. Its not hard.

  15. Wordpress blogging platform is very very powerful.

you can do almost all you can think of. as this is also a type of website but it provides you a lot of power and automation.

It is highly capable as its functionality can be extended by plugins. whatever you can think of there is a plugin.

If want to have something in a site that is not available with Wodpress, write to me.
