Yeah, I love the theme, but a little irked that the “L4D hand” gamerpic was (apparently) not on the disc, since I was planning on using that for my gamerpic. Ah well, at least the theme is awesome.
Well there are a lot of different options depending on what your style is.
For the rockers of course the Hard Rock is fun and they do offer great nightlife there on property but during the day there is not too much to do there. The hotel is usually slow before 8pm and unless it is Sunday the pool isn't too crazy either. The rooms are nice and are of a good size.
Another favorite Party spot is the Palm Hotel and Casino. The Palms offers more of party atmosphere then the Hard Rock and more nightlife on property. The Aura of the clubs has been built up so much by MTV though it is crazy. The clubs them self are ok nothing really special but the hype around them brings in a great looking crowd. Making it a place to see and be seen.
The problem with both of these place is though they are both off strip and offer very little off property within walking distance. I would recommend staying on the strip to get the whole experience and party at both the Hard Rock and Palms at night.
So to give you an answer my ideal spot to stay in Las Vegas to party is the Venetian. They have the best nightclub in Las Vegas Tao and have really make you feel like royalty. The rooms are all suites and are by far the best bang for your buck. Plus being on the strip is ideal for the pre-party and after party. There is nothing better then walking the strip and getting wasted!
Sometimes rates are higher when there are major events in town, rooms may be hard to come by, and people will be willing to pay just to have a place. When they expect less demand, they often lower prices to attract more travelers. They're just trying to get the most money they can.
We went last year, and had much cheaper rates over Memorial Day weekend than the weekend before – we paid $200 for our rooms on the weekend nights of Mem weekend, but the rates were $450 for the weekend before. Turned out that there were 3 major conventions in town (one at our hotel), and there was a country music award event as well.
i am staying at Flamingos in march… after a HELL of alot of research ffound them to be the best for what we'repaying…. i know its now Wynns but not a dump either, and its centre strip with the monorail stp outside. We got a good deal of vegastogo.com pay for 3 nights get the 4th free, you should look into that.
Wow these are some of my favorite casinos!! They are both different in a good way!! The Rio I say its more of a calm atmosphere during the day, but at night it picks up!! The rooms are all suites, so they are very spacious. The view is really good!! The pool is unique because they resemble shapes of sea creatures. Overall its one of the best hotels you can stay in Vegas.
I like to think that the MGM its a city within Vegas. The MGM has everything you want Restaurants, Bars, Nightclubs, Venues I mean everything. I like it because you dont have to leave the MGM to have a really good time. The rooms are ok, I must say they are the best beds in Vegas. The pool area is nice. If you want to be in the center of Vegas and experience what Vegas is all about MGM would be my pick!!
But you said which one should you stay. Going back I had a very good time staying at these hotels. But I would stay at the MGM no questions asked. It was in the strip, lots of entertainment, and when I left I really felt I did that MGM did justice!!
he means that when he downloaded them, he only got 4 of the 5 gamerpics, the hand is the missing gamerpic, also is there a way to get this disc? can i still get the magazine?
yes i have the same problem, it says there are 5 gamer pics, but when i download it from the disc it only has the 4: louis, bill, zoey and francis. it is missing the pic that has the hand with no thumb
I haven’t gotten it yet, but apparently you have to play that damn OXM Universe thing on the disc, and you need to have acquired a bunch of points from previous discs. Somehow you have to unlock it by “researching technologies” and “hiring engineers” to build stuff. It’s rather confusing to me.
It's common for prices to jump when the hotel expects to be busy – there may be a convention in town, or it may be a busy upcoming weekend. The price likely will not drop as it gets closer to that weekend.
If you're looking for a whirlpool tub, the Suite Calais has one. But I'm not sure of any of the other rooms. They all have a separate bathtub and shower.
Tipping at the front desk rarely provides you with a hotel upgrade anymore. They already have you in the hotel, and there is really no incentive for them to upgrade you at that point. Upgrades are usually reserved for people who stay there frequently and/or are big gamblers. Even upgrades for special events like honeymoons and anniversaries are rare.
The Hard Rock literally *rocks*. It's a fun, cool environment definitely for the younger group. It's TOTALLY a party atmosphere. The Joint (their concert venue) is also the BEST concert venue in Vegas – so if you're lucky enough to come when a concert is playing -go! The only downfall to the Hard Rock is it's a very long (and unsafe) walk to the strip. But a taxi can fix that!
MGM Grand is over-priced. Not worth the money you'd pay to stay there. But luckily NYNY and Luxor are across the street and are much less expensive. NYNY also has a very lively atmosphere. I would have to say the Luxor is a bit more dull as far as environment goes.
